FEE INCREASE FOR FILING NOTICES FOR NON-PAYMENT OF RENT

Effective June 1, 2004, the cost to file a Notice of Summary Ejectment for non-payment of rent is $14.00.  Two checks are required (1) $9.00 payable to the District Court of Maryland and (2) $5.00 payable to Director of Finance.

The $9 fee goes to the court and the $5 fee goes to the Sheriff's office for providing service of the notice.
